Value Proposition Template and Examples

A fill-in value proposition template plus three examples, so your website, pitch, and emails all say the same clear thing about who you help and why you are different.

Use it when: Use when your messaging is fuzzy, when writing a homepage hero, or when the team cannot answer 'why you over the alternative' the same way twice.

Copy-paste template
The template:

For [target customer] who [need or pain], [Your company] is a [category] that [key benefit]. Unlike [the primary alternative], we [main differentiator].

Example 1 (RevOps software):
"For RevOps teams at growing SaaS companies who are tired of sales and marketing blaming each other, Acme is a shared GTM dashboard that gives both teams one source of truth. Unlike bolting reports onto your CRM, Acme works out of the box in a day."

Example 2 (Recruiting tool):
"For technical recruiters who waste hours screening unqualified applicants, Hirewell is an AI screening layer that surfaces the top 5 percent before you ever open your inbox. Unlike generic ATS filters, we score for real skills, not keywords."

Example 3 (Agency):
"For DTC brands spending over 50k a month on ads who cannot tell what is actually working, Northbeam Studio is a performance team that ties every dollar to revenue. Unlike most agencies, we report on profit, not impressions."

The one-line version for emails and intros:
We help [customer] [outcome] without [the painful part].
