"It is too expensive."
I hear that. Can I ask, too expensive compared to what, the budget you had in mind, or another option you are weighing? Most teams find the bigger cost is staying with [current state], which runs about [cost of inaction]. Want me to show you how the numbers actually shake out for your case?

"We do not have budget right now."
That is fair, and common this time of year. Two questions: is the problem worth solving, and when does budget free up? If it is worth solving, let me put a plan together that lines up with your next cycle so you are ready to move when it does.

"We are already using [competitor]."
Great, so you already see the value in solving this. Most of our customers came from [competitor]. The reason they switched was [specific differentiator]. Worth a quick look at the difference, even just so you can pressure-test what you have?

"Send me some information."
Happy to. So I send the right thing and not a generic deck, what is the one outcome you would most want this to deliver? I will tailor it to that and add a short note on next steps.

"Now is not a good time."
Understood, the last thing I want is to be a distraction. When you say not now, is it this week, this quarter, or this problem? That tells me whether to follow up in a few days or check back next quarter.

"I need to talk to my team / boss."
Makes sense, this should be a group decision. What do you think they will want to know, and where might they push back? I can give you what you need to make the case, or join a quick call so you are not selling it solo.

"Just email me and I will get back to you."
Will do. Realistically, inboxes are brutal, so what is a good day for me to follow up if I have not heard back, so I am persistent without being annoying?

"We tried something like this before and it did not work."
That is useful to know. What specifically broke down last time? I want to be honest about whether we would hit the same wall, and usually the difference is [common reason], which we handle differently.
