Pitch and Messaging

Elevator Pitch Examples (B2B Sales)

A simple fill-in formula plus three worked elevator pitch examples (founder intro, SDR cold opener, and a networking one-liner) so you can say what you do in 30 seconds without rambling.

Use it when: Use when you need to introduce your company fast: a networking event, a cold-call opener, an investor intro, or the 'so what do you do?' question.

Copy-paste template
The formula:

[Your company] helps [target customer] [achieve outcome] by [how], so they can [bigger payoff]. Unlike [the status quo or alternative], we [key difference].

Example 1 (Founder at a networking event):
"We run Acme. We help RevOps teams at 50 to 500 person SaaS companies stop losing deals to messy handoffs by giving sales and marketing one shared dashboard. Most teams cut their lead response time in half in the first month. Unlike the big CRMs, we are live in a day, not a quarter."

Example 2 (SDR cold-call opener):
"Hi [name], I will be quick. We help [industry] sales teams book more meetings without adding headcount. Teams like [comparable customer] added 12 meetings a month in their first quarter with us. Mind if I take 30 seconds to explain why I called?"

Example 3 (Networking one-liner):
"I help [target customer] [solve a specific problem]. Think of it as [familiar analogy] for [their world]."

Three rules that make it land:
1. Lead with the customer's problem, not your features.
2. Keep it under 30 seconds. If you cannot say it in two breaths, cut it.
3. End with a question or a hook, not a period, so the other person talks next.
