If you’re feeling all of that productive new year energy right now, then you might already be feeling the influence of the Knight of Pentacles card. “This card symbolizes hard work, diligence, and persistence,” said Coke. “The Knight of Pentacles suggests that you are focused on your goals, and working hard to achieve them.” Maybe you’re refreshing your work routine for the new year, taking a renewed look at your finances, or feeling motivated to start a new workout regimen—regardless, you’re ready to grind. Coke says that this card is a reminder that discipline, responsibility, and practicality are all key to reaching your goals. If you’re in a rut, keep your effort high!

Second card: 4 of Cups

Are you starting the new year feeling a little… bored? Are you emotionally drained or unmotivated? Do you feel burnt out? That might be the result of the 4 of Cups card in your reading. According to Coke, this card indicates a lack of general satisfaction with your life. “This card asks you to reflect on what you truly desire and suggests that you might be too focused on what’s missing instead of appreciating what’s in front of you,” she said. Sometimes, we get exactly what we thought we wanted only to realize that it’s left us emotionally unfulfilled. According to this card, 2025 is about to be a wildly creative year for you. “The Queen of Wands embodies confidence and artistic creativity,” said Coke. “She is a visionary who inspires others through her warmth and determination.” I don’t know about you, but that sounds exactly like the kind of energy I want to channel this upcoming year. Even if the 4 of Cups indicates that you’re feeling unmotivated, the Queen of Wands shows that you’ll have the power to manifest a life you love in the new year. Lean into your creative energy by taking up a new hobby, doing some freelance work on the side, or even reinventing your living space or wardrobe. Be bold and trust your instincts—something great will come out of trusting yourself.

Fourth card: The Moon

If you’re feeling anxious about the new year, allow your intuition to guide you with The Moon card. “This card suggests that not everything is as it seems, and you may need to trust your intuition to navigate an unclear situation,” said Coke. “It can also point to self-discovery through subconscious work and dreams.” So, step one, check: You’re scrolling through this tarot reading right now.
