Trump Speaks to National FOP in Charlotte, NC, Talks Biden Crime Crisis, Accepts Endorsement for POTUS

As we wrote earlier on Thursday in the wake of the oral arguments in the E. Jean Carroll case in New York, the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump spoke to the media at Trump Tower. Part of his remarks were about the lawfare being waged against him by the current administration, which includes the Democrat opponent in the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris.

He also talked about the upcoming ABC News presidential debate:

Trump then returned to the podium and shared his thoughts regarding the upcoming presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, characterizing the September 10 event as “going into very hostile territory.”

Then he headed to Charlotte, North Carolina, to address the members of the National Fraternal Order of Police. The former president accepted the law enforcement group’s official endorsement for President of the United States:

He circled back to the debate against Kamala, which is set to take place on Sept. 10 as originally planned by the network, now that Harris has finally agreed to the terms. Trump joked that she’s “locked herself in a room,” and her team can’t focus because his supporters are shouting their support for him outside the building.

Trump went on to speak (next two clips) about the chaos being waged in America under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ watch, promising things will be straightened out, once voters return him to the White House with running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH):

The first post ends with:

“….and when I am president of the United States, WE ARE NOT GONG TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.”

Then he recited a litany of statistics about a “crime wave in our country” during the time Harris has been in the WH, including assaults and shootings against police officers:

If you can’t see the post, it reads:

[“]… and shootings of our police officers are up 16%. THE DAY I TAKE THE OATH OF OFFICE IS THE DAY THAT KAMALA’S CRIME WAVE COMES TO AN END.”

He promised to sign a new law to strengthen punishment for those who commit crimes against law enforcement, and to “crack down” against Soros district attorneys, name-checking the one in charge of Philadelphia:

Moving back to Vice Pres. Harris, Trump laid out her abominable record in California:

If you can’t see the post, it reads:

—she didn’t even call the officer’s family

As California Attorney General, Kamala redefined ‘child sex trafficking,’ ‘assault with a deadly weapon,’ and ‘rape of an unconscious person’ as “non-violent” crimes.

Kamala then called herself a “leader” of the movement for No Cash Bail. She called for abolishing ICE and ending all jail sentences for parole violators.

Trump noted that one of the reasons Harris’ crime “numbers” might appear to be falling is that three in 10 major metropolitan areas have stopped reporting much of the crime that’s happening:

Near the end of his speech, former Pres. Trump hit the disaster that is the Biden-Harris border crisis, and that her failed tenure as Border Czar is likely the “worst crime Kamala has committed against the law”:
