CA Gov. Newsom Signs Ban Against Political Deepfakes; Elon Musk Mercilessly Trolls Him With… Deepfakes

If there’s one thing the Democrats have proven without a doubt over these last three and a half years, it’s that they’re committed cheerleaders to censorship and shutting down opposing views.

NEW: Josh Hawley Drops Disturbing Whistleblower Info on Second Assassination Attempt

It’s hard not to start thinking that it’s more than just dropping the ball here.

Nancy Pelosi’s Attempt to Dismiss Her Coup of Joe Biden Is So Absurd You’ll Think She’s Drunk

He was forced out specifically because his brain melted on national television, and Harris was then coronated without so much as a sniff of a democratic process. Pelosi is shamelessly lying for claiming otherwise.

With the CR spending bill put up by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) going down to defeat Wednesday afternoon, the question becomes: What next? With a looming deadline to get a spending bill passed, we’re back to Shutdown Theatre.

White House What’s Up

President Joe Biden is set to deliver remarks at two separate events on Thursday: at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., in the afternoon, and then at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 47th Annual Awards Gala in the evening.

The Homestretch

Vice President Kamala Harris travels to Detroit, Michigan, for a Thursday evening campaign event hosted by Oprah Winfrey. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, her running mate, will be in Washington, D.C., where he’ll address some of the nation’s top CEOs at “The Business Roundtable.

Former President Donald Trump, fresh off a rally in Nassau County, New York, followed by an appearance on Fox’s “Guttfeld!” Wednesday evening, will also be in D.C. Thursday evening to address a “Fighting Anti-Semitism in America” event with Miriam Adelson. His running mate, Sen. JD Vance (OH), will also be speaking at “The Business Roundtable.”

Full Court Press…

Could be an interesting day in Georgia as defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant seeks to have Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis held in contempt should she fail to show for a hearing in Merchant’s open records lawsuit against her.

In the Southern District of New York, Sean “Diddy” Combs lost his bid to the court’s initial ruling denying him bail reversed. For now, he’ll remain in jail in Brooklyn.

MORNING MUSING

Something’s changed in Donald Trump. There’s no doubt he was deeply affected by the failed assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. Near misses don’t come any nearer than that. But since attempt number two on Sunday at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, there’s been a noticeable change in his demeanor. He’s lighter. More upbeat. He’s made multiple appearances — at rallies, town halls, interviews. I’ve not seen them all, but the ones I have seen all featured a man who seemed fully relaxed and at ease — which is a bit surprising in light of the threat he’s clearly facing and the daunting task before him. Whether he’s seeing internal polling that has him feeling confident or it’s something deeper, more spiritual, 45 actually appears to be happy warrioring his way into the homestretch of the election.
