This reader really loves masked main characters and I had such a fun time going down this rabbit hole. I totally get it. There’s a mix of Beauty and the Beast with fantasy elements and a talented sculptor heroine. (It’s also still currently free!)

This reader wanted chill, cozy, and/or hopepunk suggestions and I went all in on that. When I think of something that feels cozy, hopeful, and isn’t too much of a mental life, this is the book I’m reminded of. There’s a gentleness to it and recommending it makes me want to do a re-read.

This reader enjoys scifi/fantasy reads with tough heroines, but didn’t really want to fully commit to “romantasy.” We also shared a lovely rant about the portmanteau. They love angry women a la Call of Crows series and Ilona Andrews; I feel like Thea Harrison is a good fit for that vein of author. I definitely plugged the Elder Races series, but that one (in my opinion) requires more of a commitment.
