LeChase Construction is making shifts in its leadership structure.

The company recently appointed William Goodrich as chairman and promoted Kyle Sayers to president, according to a company news release.

Goodrich, who has been with LeChase for nearly four decades, has served as CEO since 2007, a position he retains in his new role. Sayers, who joined the company in 1997, previously held roles as executive vice president and chief operating officer, according to the release.

The moves align with LeChase’s strategy to grow its market share in established regions while expanding its footprint in the Northeast and Carolinas.

“In the Carolinas, we have a long-standing presence in Durham and Charlotte. While continuing to grow in those areas, we are also looking to grow our presence in the [Piedmont] Triad market,” said Goodrich in an email to Construction Dive. “Similarly, our metro New York office has been taking on clients in nearby Connecticut, and our Corning, New York, office is serving a growing number of clients in North Central Pennsylvania.”

Like many in the industry, Goodrich emphasized that staffing remains one of the company’s top challenges. The firm has implemented various workforce development initiatives, college partnerships and referral programs to address these needs and to offer development opportunities for existing employees to grow within the firm.

“It’s not just a matter of finding people,” said Goodrich. “It’s about finding the right people, who are not only talented, but who will deliver on our expectations around safety, quality and customer service.”

As LeChase moves forward with expansion plans, Sayers expects the construction landscape to remain strong across the company’s regions in 2025. He noted, however, global supply chain issues and project affordability remain priorities to monitor.

“We have a very positive outlook on 2025, and see strength in all markets and geographies where we operate,” said Sayers in an email. “Our focus on building partnerships with our clients, over simply building projects for them, will continue to guide us well into the future.”
