EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Joe Burrow’s longest run as a pro opened the scoring on “Sunday Night Football” against the New York Giants.
With the Cincinnati Bengals facing third-and-18 near midfield, Burrow appeared to call an audible at the line of scrimmage. As soon as he got the shotgun snap, he took off running into the vacant right side of the field.

Burrow dove for the pylon and beat Giants safety Jason Pinnock to the end zone to give the Bengals a 7-0 lead with 11:32 left in the first quarter. Before that 47-yard run, Burrow’s career long was 23 yards.
The last time he had a carry that long was back in college at LSU, when he reeled off a 59-yarder against Georgia in 2018.
