The Science Behind This Craft

This craft is the epitome of science at play. While playing with this spinner you may be wondering how it works. Well it works by converting potential energy into kinetic energy when it’s spinning. That allows it to rotate due to its symmetrical shape.

The forces of gravity and the forces of friction is what causes your spinner to slow down and stop.

What Is Potential Energy?

Potential energy is the stored energy an object has based on its position/state. Potential energy is measured in joules. A joule is a unit that measure energy.

What Is Kinetic Energy?

Kinetic energy is the energy an object has, anything that is moving has kinetic energy. If something is moving fast, that means it has more kinetic energy.
