Kamala Wants Another Debate. Is It Because She Feels She Lost, or Because She's Feeling Frisky?

The highly anticipated debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is in the books, and now the pundits are weighing in. Fans of the GOP presidential nominee are thrilled with Trump’s performance, but unsurprisingly, the sycophants in the corporate media are calling Harris’ performance the best thing to happen in the history of the universe:

Hyperbole much?

It’s undeniable that Kamala didn’t faceplant like Joe Biden did in June, when his disastrous performance caused his Democrat puppetmasters to force him out of the race, and the VP didn’t go off on one of her extended pointless word salads like we’ve seen too many times in the past. If you were a fan of Kamala Harris before the debate, you presumably thought she was brilliant, but if you’re a keen observer of political reality, you noted that she’s “all hat, no cattle.”

But Team Kamala feels good enough that they’re calling for another round:

The Harris campaign says that it wants a second presidential debate in October, moments after the end of the first debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“That was fun. let’s do it again,” Harris advisor Brian Fallon said.

This debate will be analyzed endlessly over the next few days (and the best coverage will be here at RedState). My take is that the Kamala campaign feels so good about her performance that she feels she can do it again, but I know some others read it differently: Harris feels she didn’t do enough, so she needs a second debate to lock it down.

Here’s the Sign That Kamala Is Worried After the Debate, and What Trump Has to Say About It

Debate Night: Kamala Shamelessly Lied Her Head Off Throughout the Debate

Trump Has the Laugh of the Night When He Dunks on Kamala Harris With Her Own Line

Trump, for his part, was lukewarm about the prospect of another showdown, saying Harris only wants it because he won:

He wouldn’t commit to round two:

If Trump does agree to another debate, however, something must be done about the moderators. The bias of the corporate media at these events has been obvious for decades—see Candy Crowley—but Tuesday night was the worst I’ve ever seen it:

My own opinion? Trump should go for the second round. While he had his moments during the discussion, Harris was better than expected and landed some blows of her own, and it was not a knockout for either side. The former president has shown in the past that he can learn—after his first debate with Biden in 2020 did not go well, he came back much stronger in the second.

He can do it again and fully expose the vacuous empty suit that is Kamala Harris—I’d be really surprised if she could memorize all that stuff a second time.

ABC News and anchor David Muir were shameless cheerleaders for team Kamala Tuesday night.
