Trump Talks DNC, Harris Speech With Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum

On Thursday evening, after the Democrat National Convention (DNC) acceptance speech by Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Trump provided a reaction to Fox News’ Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

The first topic the Fox hosts pressed the former president on had to do with the debates; during her speech, Kamala Harris implied that Donald Trump was unwilling to debate. Trump indicated he was willing to do several debates, a claim he has been making virtually from the word “go:”

Trump then blasted Kamala Harris on tacitly dishonest statements on Project 2025, as well as her failure to address taxation and interest rates, claiming that Kamala Harris is a Marxist and that she would “leave the border open”:

The post continued:

The interest rates are getting close to record rates. People can’t do business. They can’t borrow money.

His comments about the pharmaceutical exodus to places like Ireland, I can vouch for first-hand, having been involved in medical manufacturing and combination pharma-device products at that time. Ireland was, at that time, known in medical manufacturing as the “Celtic Tiger” for the number of companies that were relocating there.

On immigration, Trump discussed closing the border, and how the Biden administration could have closed the border at any moment; the executive branch is, in fact, responsible for border enforcement, and has broad powers to do so:

The former president also described how he has buried the hatchet with Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, a move many were hoping he would make. Pres. Trump also discussed a possible meeting with independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is expected to withdraw from the race on Friday – amid speculation that he may endorse Donald Trump:
