After gathering supplies, invite kids to paint their paper plate yellow.

  • white paper plates
  • yellow paint
  • black craft foam
  • white school glue
  • black permanent marker
  • red colored pencil
  • scissors

Instructions

  1. Paint the paper plate yellow.
  2. While the paint dries, sketch and cut out sunglasses out of the black foam.
  3. When the yellow paint on the paper plate is try, cut small triangles out all around the outside of the paper plate.
  4. Glue the sunglasses in the middle of the yellow paper plate.
  5. Use a black marker to draw eyebrows on the sun, a smile, and a tongue.
  6. Use a red colored pencil to color the tongue of the sun on the paper plate.
